Lisa Ann Walter says when she worked with Jennifer Aniston, she made it a point to let the actress know she had never seen her in her most iconic role.
The Abbott Elementary star, 62, appeared on the Monday, May 25 episode of Kristin Davis‘ Are You A Charlotte? podcast, sharing that there are several well-known and popular television shows she’s never seen.
“I’m Sicilian and a huge fan of the mob, if it existed,” Walter said. “But I never watched The Sopranos.”

“So I just I never watched it.”
She continued: “I remember doing Bruce Almighty with Jennifer Aniston. I played her sister. And I had to say, like, the second day we worked together, I’m like, ‘I’m sorry. I never saw Friends.’ “
Elsewhere on the podcast, Walter discussed how she also hadn’t watched Sex and the City when it first aired, though has seen it since, noting that at the time of its original airing, she was starring in her own show, the ABC sitcom Life’s Work, and while juggling being a mother to young children.
“I didn’t have a lot of time. No streaming, by the way,” she added.
Bruce Almighty focused on TV news reporter Bruce (played by Jim Carrey), who questions God after not landing an anchor position — only to have God (Morgan Freeman) let Bruce take on his powers to see if he can handle the responsibilities better. Aniston costarred as his girlfriend Grace, and the cast also included Steve Carell and Philip Baker Hall.

As the screenwriters who came up with the story for the 2003 comedy revealed to Syfy in an earlier interview, there was nearly a sequel to the film, which they pitched in 2010 and “a lot of people loved.” Sadly, it “just didn’t work out for some reason,” according to Steve Koren, who wrote the film with Mark O’Keefe.
The proposed sequel, titled Brucifer, would have seen now-wife Grace die, leading Bruce to align with Satan for the power to bring her back from the dead. O’Keefe said Lucifer would have likely been played by Freeman or Carrey.
