Amy Roloff said goodbye to the world of reality TV in November 2024, and since then, she’s returned to a surprisingly normal career.
The former Little People, Big World star, Amy, 63, shared an inside look at her life as a substitute teacher after stepping away from the cameras in an Instagram post she shared on Friday, May 15. In the photo, Amy stood in front of an educational map inside a classroom while wearing a blue and green floral shirt with glasses perched on her nose.
“I can’t believe the school year is coming to an end already. I love subbing and grateful I can be in the classroom for the teacher,” she captioned the image. “There are challenges in the classroom sometimes but I always have hope for these kids at the end of the day. Until next time . . . keep learning.”
Before the show debuted, Amy worked as a full-time preschool teacher, and she returned to the world of education just weeks before it was announced that LPBW had been canceled in November 2024.

Amy and her now-ex-husband, Matt Roloff, along with their four kids – Zach, Jeremy, Molly, and Jacob – made their reality TV debut in 2006 with TLC’s Little People, Big World. The show centered on parents Matt and Amy, both of whom have dwarfism, as they raised their four children and navigated family life, relationships and running Roloff Farms.
While Amy and Matt, 64, separated in 2014 and officially called it quits after 27 years of marriage in 2016, the series continued following their lives and eventually introduced their new partners. Matt began dating Caryn Chandler, an employee of Roloff Farms in 2017, and the two got engaged in April 2023. However, they never made it down the aisle and split in July 2025.
Amy met Chris Marek at a singles event in 2016. The pair dated for several years before marrying in 2021.
