Black entertainment and events company Cxmmunity Media has landed a six-figure strategic investment from Live Nation Urban.
As a result of the investment, the primarily music and gaming-focused Cxmmunity will be expanding its content production pipeline, as well as its large-scale live activations, including two of its upcoming Atlanta-set events: the music and gaming-focused The Kickback on Dec. 10 and the Atlanime event on Oct. 18.
Under the partnership, Live Nation Urban will also be working closely with The Cxmmunity Foundation, which is the media company’s philanthropic arm “dedicated to increasing access and long term opportunities for emerging talent to enter the gaming, esports and digital entertainment industries.”
The investment comes through the Live Nation partner company’s Black Lily Capital Investment Fund, created to support Black entrepreneurs in the entertainment space.
