Androgenic, an Australian “looksmaxxing” influencer, was arrested and banned from a nightlife area after a run-in with law enforcement.
At around 12:30 a.m. on April 26, Queensland Police arrested Androgenic, 25, “in relation to an incident” that occurred on April 18 in the Fortitude Valley suburb of Brisbane, Australia, a police spokesperson told PEOPLE.
Following Androgenic’s arrest, police issued the content creator an “infringement notice for public nuisance” and served him a one-month “banning notice” for two Safe Night Precincts in Queensland, Australia, the spokesperson added. (Safe Night Precincts are entertainment areas in Queensland designated by the government to reduce late-night drug and alcohol-related violence.)
The spokesperson told PEOPLE that there were no issues during Androgenic’s arrest and did not share further details.
Videos from Androgenic’s Kick livestream, which later circulated online, showed the content creator speaking to police on a crowded street at night and walking with law enforcement to a police station after they informed him he was “under arrest for public nuisance.”
Just after 2 a.m., Androgenic addressed his arrest in a post on X, writing, “I’m free. Stream coming back. Stay tuned.” He shared another update four hours later on the platform, telling his followers in a video, “I was arrested. This is serious business. No more f—ing around. Stay tuned.” In a third post, on TikTok, he called his arrest and ban “complete f—ing b——.”
Androgenic did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Over the last few years, Androgenic has gained prominence on the live-streaming platform Kick as a member of the “looksmaxxing” community, a controversial sect of the internet populated by young men who strive to maximize their attractiveness in often extreme ways.

He recently faced criticism for a livestream with fellow “looksmaxxing” creator Clavicular — whose legal name is Braden Peters — during which Androgenic appeared to offer him Adderall, a prescription ADHD medication, while Peters seemed intoxicated and was slurring his words, though he did not accept the offer. Peters was hospitalized for an apparent overdose shortly after.
Androgenic also gained attention earlier this year when a clip of his livestream went viral, depicting a man approaching him from behind and suddenly pulling the hat off of his head, revealing that there was a wig attached to it. In the video — which has over 40 million views — Androgenic chased down the man as onlookers appeared stunned.
