Bombshells are a fundamental element of Love Island designed to disrupt, challenge and shake-up existing connections within the villa
Bombshells are a crucial component of Love Island, specifically designed to disrupt, challenge and shake up existing relationships within the villa.
The late arrivals are vital for propelling the programme’s storyline, preventing it from becoming stale and compelling islanders to reassess their partnerships.
Over the past 11 years, bombshells such as Molly-Mae Hague, Maura Higgins and Megan Barton-Hanson have been brought in to “turn heads”.
In an unprecedented move, the current series of Love Island: All Stars introduced six international bombshells from the US franchise, with producers bringing in the attractive singletons to inject fresh energy and raise the stakes.
All Stars series two winner Casey O’Gorman entered the show as a bombshell four times and has revealed what the Islanders are keen to discover as soon as the newcomers turn up, reports OK!.
Speaking on behalf of Free Bets, Casey said: “It depends on the bombshell but some who you know are in there just for the clout will be like, ‘how many followers am I on?’ and then there’s others who are like ‘what was the Arsenal score last week?’.
“They want to know any sort of information I guess. So for me, it was always, ‘what’s the Arsenal score?’, ‘How did we get on last week?’ some ask ‘am I coming across well?’ or ‘did this conversation get shown? so, yeah, just as much info as they can get.”
Casey first graced our screens on the ninth series of Love Island in 2023, then made a comeback for the inaugural All Stars series in 2024. He clinched victory in the second series of All Stars alongside Gabby Allen in 2025 and subsequently participated in Love Island Games in Fiji that same year.
Discussing the pre-entry process for bombshells, he revealed: “In holding before you go on the show you get to watch the show every single night until you go in or up until maybe the execs will be like ‘okay, let’s make him not watch this one and then he’ll go in’.

“I think it’s a day behind or two days behind from like actual real life so you’re not completely up to date with what’s going on on the show, especially because stuff happens every single night.
“I remember when I went in as a bombshell for All Stars series two because I was second night bombshell I didn’t know Ekin-Su [Cülcüloğlu] went in the first night so I had no idea she was in there.”
Zac Woodsworth and Millie Court are currently leading the pack as favourites to win Love Island All Stars 2026.
