Love Island enthusiasts are united in their plea for programme makers to implement a significant shake-up just weeks before the new show is expected to start.
The popular reality series is set to make its comeback on ITV2 within weeks, launching its 13th season. The format will once again feature a collection of singletons searching for romance and a monetary reward, with Maya Jama – who has recently been confirmed as part of the upcoming Celebrity Traitors line-up – returning as presenter.
Jetting off to sun-soaked Mallorca for the ultimate romantic challenge, Love Island will be back on our screens imminently. While an official launch date hasn’t been confirmed, audiences can anticipate the fresh series arriving around June 1.

Earlier this week, ITV unveiled the official first glimpse of the forthcoming series, posting on Instagram: “It’s coming home…”
However, with only weeks remaining, devotees of the programme have already voiced one particular demand. One viewer commented: “Please have normal people on it not just influencers.” Another remarked: “How about some people actually looking for love and not just screen time.”
A third enquired: “Any chance you could provide just ‘normal’ regular people who aren’t after brand deals!!??” A fourth pleaded: “Pls pick the realest people, no more range bait.”
The upcoming series will run alongside this summer’s World Cup, with the programme embracing the sporting occasion as the preview depicts the villa positioned within a stadium while crowd cheers echo in the background, reports OK!.
Anticipation is building among viewers for the upcoming series, with one fan declaring: “Biggest event of the summer imo,” while another enthused: “About time!! Been waiting for this announcement!!”

While the official line-up remains under wraps, speculation is already mounting. Some viewers reckon more international contestants could feature, following the success of American bombshell Toni Laites, who triumphed alongside Cach Mercer last summer.
The full cast is typically revealed around a week before the series launches, so fans may not have long to wait for their first glimpse of this year’s contestants.

This latest series arrives just months after the third instalment of Love Island All Stars, which saw Ciaran Davies and Samie Elishi crowned the 2026 champions.
