LYNCHBURG, Va. (WDBJ) – The Lynchburg Symphony Orchestra is preparing for its 43rd season.
And some very exciting concerts are in the works.
Beethoven’s bold Third Symphony, nicknamed “Eroica,” or “Heroic,” launches the season on September 27 with music that redefined what a symphony could be.
According to the Lynchburg Symphony, “amping up the star power, Brazilian violin virtuoso Carmelo de los Santos dazzles the audience with Piazzolla’s The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires.”
Lynchburg Symphony Youth Orchestra will also join the LSO on stage for Vaughan Williams’ English Folk Song Suite.
The performance is happening September 27 at 7:30pm at the Academy Center of the Arts Historic Theater, and you can also enjoy a pre-show lecture at 6:30 p.m.
