HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – Area leaders in Madison are showing off a brand-new place for entertainment!
City leaders, business owners, and the community converged on Historic downtown Madison for the official launch of the area’s new entertainment district.
This project has been in the works for years now.
It aims to increase foot traffic in the area while showcasing local businesses.
Mayor Ranae Bartlett says this project shows the city’s commitment to the future of downtown Madison.
“Although downtown is historic, you’re also seeing new businesses being built and popping up every month. And so we’re super excited about the businesses that are already open, ready to sell you your next gift items,” Bartlett said.
If you’re interested in getting out to see the new Madison Entertainment district, there’s several events lined up this weekend.
Mayor Bartlett says dozens of trees will light up the area, so it’s sure to be a spectacle.
