Country music singer Alexis Wilkins took to social media to share some of her thoughts following the ICE shooting in Minnesota that left Renee Nicole Good dead, and it isn’t going well for her.
Wilkins, who is dating FBI Director Kash Patel, lists “political commentator” on her X profile along with country music, and she has not been shy about giving her thoughts on a wide-range of topics.
Her first post about the shooting came in response to Geraldo Rivera, who wrote that Good was unarmed. Wilkins reshared that post and wrote, “Geraldo, she was armed with a CAR.”
She then shared screenshots of posts from Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. The post on Frey highlighted his call for ICE to “get the (expletive) out of Minneapolis.” The post from Walz promised a “full, fair, and expeditious investigation to ensure accountability and justice.”
“Minnesota’s leadership encourages disobedience and violence against law enforcement — which breeds situations such as George Floyd and Renee Nicole Good,” she wrote. “This is on your @MayorFrey @GovTimWalz.”
“And where’s this call to violence?” one person replied.
“Are you really this dumb?” another wrote. “George Floyd was killed as everyone in the nation watched. This is what happens when ego-driven men are given power and inadequate training. Your BF is constantly making serious mistakes; he is not qualified for this job. I would keep my mouth shut.”
“Alexis, you are disgusting and pathetic,” another wrote. “Your comments are unfounded. People like you & your ugly googled eyed boyfriend are what is wrong with this country led by the felon, fraud, liar, narcissist, psychopath, sexual assaulter Donald Trump.”
“You’re a terrible person and a worse singer,” another wrote.
And those were some of the nicer comments. Several used slurs to attack Wilkins.
Meanwhile, there were some folks who supported her, too.
“Alexis is right she was armed with a car,” one person replied. “She was trying to impede law enforcement. A vehicle is a deadly weapon. Mayor should be impeached for his outrageous comments before any investigation!”

The 27-year-old singer was last in the headlines back in November amid a report from MS Now that Patel has assigned a security detail to her.
The outlet reported that Wilkins, who lives and works out of Nashville like a lot of country music artists, has a detail that consists of elite agents who are normally assigned to the SWAT team at the FBI’s Nashville office.
“Ms. Wilkins is receiving a protective detail because she has faced hundreds of credible death threats related to her relationship with Director Patel, whom she has been dating for three years,” an FBI spokesperson told The Hill. “Out of respect for her safety, we will not be providing additional details.”
The outlet reported that it is “unusual” for the SWAT members to be used for security details, and that other spouses of directors who received details were living with the director. Patel and Wilkins do not live together and do not live in the same city, and the use of the elite agents created a stir on social media.
“There is no legitimate justification for this,” former senior FBI agent Christopher O’Leary told MS Now. “She is not his spouse, does not live in the same house or even the same city.
“I would also add that this comes at a time when security details were stripped from people who are under threat from (Iran).”
Taste of Country reported that Wilkins and Patel have been dating since 2023. The site said they first met at a ReAwaken America event. And, for the most part per the outlet, the romance was off-the-radar until Wilkins stood behind Patel when he was sworn-in as FBI Director in February.
