The Children’s Performing Arts Series will bring a beloved story to life this fall with The Magic School Bus: Lost in the Solar System at the Paramount Theatre.
The performance is set for Sunday, Oct. 5, at 2 p.m. at the Paramount, 352 Cypress St. Tickets are $10 and available at cpasabilene.org.
Based on the original Scholastic book series, the TheaterWorksUSA production follows Ms. Frizzle and her students as a wrong turn on the way to the planetarium launches them into outer space. The young explorers must work together on an interplanetary adventure to find their way back home.
The one-hour musical is recommended for children in pre-K through fifth grade.
This season marks CPAS’s 40th year of presenting professional touring theater shows in Abilene. The nonprofit offers hundreds of free tickets annually and keeps ticket prices low to ensure families of all financial means can enjoy live performances.
