Princess Anne is gearing up for a significant Royal tour to Australia and Singapore in the coming weeks.
Accompanied by her husband, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, the Princess Royal will embark on a journey to these two nations from November 8 through November 13.
During her visit to Australia, where she last set foot in 2023, the King’s sister will engage in a series of military events in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane over a span of four days. The reason behind this, as stated by Buckingham Palace, is to commemorate the centennial anniversary of the Royal Australian Corps of Signals.
As the President of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, the 75 year old princess will also pay her respects at the Sydney War Cemetery and the Anzac Memorial in honor of Remembrance.
Following her four-day stay in Australia, Her Royal Highness will then proceed to Singapore to celebrate six decades of diplomatic ties between the United Kingdom and Singapore.
The princess, along with her spouse, will spend a couple of days in Singapore, fulfilling several commitments, reports the Express.
This includes meeting with the President and the Prime Minister of Singapore. Over the span of these two days, the princess will also pay visits to the Kranji War Memorial, the Airbus Asia Training Centre, and Rolls-Royce’s Seletar campus.
The King’s sister hasn’t been to Singapore since November 2016 but holds dear memories of the country.
This includes a trip she made in 1972, during which she was bestowed the Distinguished Service Order – a rare honor for foreign dignitaries. The Princess Royal, known as one of the most industrious members of the Royal family, is reportedly eager for the upcoming tour next month.
