Mandy Moore recently made an appearance at Step Up’s Inspiration Awards in Los Angeles, and her new look had fans doing a double take.
The This Is Us alum, 41, wore a draped ivory blouse with a high neckline tucked into a sleek black mini skirt that she paired with sheer black tights and classic heels. During the event on September 26, Moore wore her brunette hair straight and donned a red lip with minimal accessories that gave her a modern, understated look.
However, it wasn’t Moore’s outfit that got everyone’s attention: Fans thought the actress’ face looked noticeably different, but they couldn’t put their finger on what had changed.
“It’s not even the signs of aging that surprise me, it’s the fact that this person doesn’t look like Mandy Moore whatsoever,” one person on Reddit wrote. Another added, “I’m over here like this is Mandy Moore, the singer and actress? Because she looks literally nothing like she did.”
Others speculated on possible cosmetic procedures Moore could have had done, with one person suggesting “some extensive facial surgery” and another wondering if she had undergone “upper eyelid surgery.”
Moore has addressed plastic surgery rumors in the past and in 2018, when speculation that she’d had a nose job ran rampant, she denied the claims.
“I remember seeing some blog post that said I got a nose job,” she told Popsugar in 2018. “I was like, ‘That’s weird — my nose is pretty imperfect.’ I have a crinkled part underneath the bridge of my nose, and I remember laughing, like, ‘I feel like I would have fixed that had I had a nose job.’ I don’t know, maybe it was just a weird picture or weird makeup or shading or something.”
The Walk to Remember star has not addressed any of the current rumors about her looks.
