Alt-pop group People R Ugly recently shared their latest single “WAKE UP” alongside its coinciding music video, which features a guest appearance from blink-182 frontman Mark Hoppus. Along with the single and video release, the band announced that their debut album GARAGE will arrive October 24 through Verswire.
The “WAKE UP” music video, which portrays Hoppus as the comedic MC for a high school talent show, includes a hilariously chaotic plot that coincides perfectly with the track’s ubeat, anthemic energy.
Regarding the release of their upcoming debut LP, People R Ugly say, “We’re beyond excited to finally share GARAGE. This project is unlike anything we’ve ever made before. We had a blast experimenting, messing around, and pushing ourselves in new directions, and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. We hope it makes you laugh, cry, dance, mosh, and maybe even smile at a surprise feature you won’t see coming.”
Following the release of GARAGE, the group will perform at the Orlando date of Vans Warped Tour on November 15. Tickets for Warped Tour are on sale now.
