Martha Stewart came under fire on Monday after she confirmed she was in attendance at Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday bash over the weekend.
The 84-year-old lifestyle magnate sparked uproar on social media after she shared some highlights from her time at the famous momager’s Platinum Jubilee on her Instagram account. Photos and footage included in Martha’s carousel post showed her looking glamorous in a champagne-colored sequin cross-front top, and light green sparkly sequin bell-bottom pants, which she accessorized with chandelier earrings.
“From the Beverly Hills Hotel where we dressed to the party to the plane it was a night of fun and merriment!!! Happy birthday lovely @krisjenner,” Martha captioned her post, which was shared after she celebrated her 84th birthday in August.
A night of fun for Martha has brought her much backlash, since many were outraged that she was partying so extravagantly with the Kardashians.
“Just as out of touch and tone deaf as the Great Gatsby party. Sorry but it’s true,” one wrote in Martha’s comment section.
Although Martha caught some heat for hanging out with the Kardashian-Jenner matriarch, there were still some who loved seeing her enjoy herself and look good while doing it.
“@marthastewart48 you look fabulous!” one fan exclaimed, as another agreed, “Oh Martha, if I should be so lucky to shine as you do.”
Kris’ massive glitzy function was James Bond-themed and held and Jeff Bezos and his wife Lauren Sanchez’s $165 million home in Beverly Hills on November 8.
TMZ reported that neighbors called the police to the mansion after several noise complaints came from her star-studded soiree during Bruno Mars’ performance. According to the news outlet, police spoke with security and issued a warning.
