Marvel Studios has unveiled a new poster and TV spot for its upcoming Marvel Zombies mini-series, offering a closer look at the MCU’s undead. The artwork shows zombified heroes with glowing red eyes, while the teaser hints at a fight for survival against the infected.

New Marvel Zombies poster and TV spot highlight MCU’s undead

The new Marvel Zombies promotional campaign has unveiled a poster and TV spot ahead of the series premiere on Disney+. The poster shows zombie versions of Marvel characters with glowing red eyes and decayed appearances, including Hawkeye with arrows in his body and Captain America with a damaged face, surrounding a central glowing figure in the sky. The backdrop features a fiery orange cityscape, with the Marvel Animation and Disney+ logos visible at the bottom.

Marvel Studios posted the image on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption, “Long live the dead. Stream #MarvelZombies, a Marvel Animation four-part event coming September 24, only on @DisneyPlus.” A second post from Marvel Studios followed with the teaser clip, captioned, “Who will make it out alive? Stream Marvel Animation’s #MarvelZombies, a four-part event coming September 24, only on @DisneyPlus.”

Showrunner and director Bryan Andrews previously confirmed that Marvel Zombies is a four-part TV-MA-rated animated event. In an August interview with Collider, Andrews said, “I’m not as up to date with all the stuff that’s already out, but I bet you dollars to donuts that they haven’t mentioned, but I would hope that they haven’t mentioned a couple of things that we do want to be an honest surprise.”

Marvel Television and Marvel Animation head Brad Winderbaum linked the series to the What If…? episode “What If… Zombies?!” (Season 1 Episode 5), calling it “very much like the part 1 prologue for this giant, epic event that is coming out next year.” He explained, “It ties right in. It is the same universe. If you’ve never seen that episode of ‘What If…?’ you do come at the universe from a different angle.” (via EW)
