Mary-Kate Olsen graced us with her presence yesterday in Manhattan—and in quintessential Olsen garb.
The designer is constantly proving the versatility of an all-black wardrobe, and her latest look continued that valiant work.
We may be nearing summer, but you can never take Olsen away from her long black coats and bulky scarves. This time, however, she layered her sleek outerwear over a simple tan maxi dress. ’Tis the season!
For accessories, you know Olsen plucked a few gems from her and twin Ashley’s luxury brand, the Row, including the Lady bag in glossy black alligator (a piece which also lives in Jennifer Lawrence’s closet), and the Tyler lace-up flats in “yellow linen” suede. The controversial shoes are $950 moccasins crafted from soft calfskin suede, each with an oval toe, raised outer stitching, a rubber sole, and matching laces. They may be an old-school cross between a slipper and a boot, but Olsen makes them look like the epitome of cool.
Ink-black rectangular sunglasses solidified the New York Minute star’s monochrome look, and for the perfect finishing touch? A pristine Olsen tuck.
The last time we saw Mary-Kate out in the city was in February, when, unsurprisingly, she also wore a long black coat (seemingly in velvet) and a big scarf wrapped tightly around her dirty-blonde Olsen tuck. That time, her chic accessories included a custom chocolate-brown crocodile bag from, you guessed it, the Row, and her trusty black Adidas Sambas (the platform Sambae style, for short queens).
