Matthew McConaughey and Michael Caine have joined forces with ElevenLabs, an AI-based startup. The company is based in New York. It builds voice tools and helps actors to license digital versions of their voices.
The arrangement lets both actors control how their voices are used while opening new creative options. McConaughey has decided to read a Spanish version of his newsletter. Caine is making his distinct narration available for approved projects.

Matthew McConaughey and Michael Caine are ready to have an AI clone of their voices. The former is also investing in ElevenLabs and working with the company to expand his own work into audio. The actor is planning to launch a Spanish-language audio version of his newsletter ‘Lyrics of Livin’. He shall do so by using the technology provided by ElevenLabs.
In a statement, Matthew McConaughey said, “Since our first conversation, I’ve been impressed by how the ElevenLabs team has taken the magic of the core technology and turned it into products that creators, enterprises, and storytellers use daily. I launched my newsletter, ‘Lyrics of Livin’,’ as a way to share stories and ideas in my own voice with those who want to listen. Now, thanks to ElevenLabs, ‘Lyrics of Livin’ is expanding with a Spanish language edition, allowing us to reach and connect with even more people.”
As for Michael Caine, he has also agreed to join McConaughey in this. His voice will be available at the new Iconic Voice Marketplace. A platform that lets companies request permission to use celebrated voices for projects such as narration or branded content.
The company claims that this is meant to create an ethical and licensed path for using famous voices. The company has described the program as the one that “solves a key ethical challenge in AI-driven media creation by enabling the ethical sourcing and licensing of some of the world’s most recognizable voices.”
