MONTCLAIR, NJ — It’s time to hearken back to times of yore in North Jersey.
“MedievalFest” is returning to Montclair on Sunday, Aug. 24. The end-of-summer event will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Montclair Art Museum, 3 South Mountain Avenue. Learn more or purchase tickets here.
Here’s what to expect this year, according to the organizers, Montclair Early Music:
“At MedievalFest, watch armored knights spar, purchase handcrafted keepsakes from an array of period artisans, and feast on savory and sweet treats along with refreshments, including a frosty tankard of MedievalFest Ale, a luscious honey beer from Montclair Brewery. Enjoy live music from the Medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque periods, featuring the Montclair Early Music vocal and instrumental ensembles, and a performance by our children’s recorder group, DragonBards – plus special guests. Costumes encouraged!”
Proceeds will support the nonprofit Montclair Early Music, including its musical performances, community events, and free and low-cost music education programs for seniors and children.
