Meghan Markle made a surprise appearance at an event in Beverly Hills on Wednesday evening. The 44-year-old joined her long-time friend Kelly Mckee Zajfen, who previously appeared on her Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, at the Champions for Children event.
Their joint appearance was in honour of Kelly’s work with the Alliance of Moms. Kelly co-founded the organisation in 2014 to support the Alliance for Children’s Rights, which provides legal services, education, safe housing and support for vulnerable children.
Kelly’s works for the organisation aims to support pregnant and parenting teens in the foster care system.
Joining her friend on the red carpet, Meghan could be seen cradling Kelly’s growing baby bump.
Kelly, who announced her pregnancy in November, is currently expecting a baby boy just three years after the death of her late son George.
Meghan was previously seen supporting Kelly at the George Zajfen Tennis Tournament last year. The event was named for Kelly’s late son, who passed away aged nine from Covid-19 and viral meningitis.
In a sweet social media post last October, Kelly shared her gratitude for not only Meghan, but Prince Harry too.
Praising Meghan and Harry for their “loyalty and love”, she wrote: “Meg & H, you continue to amaze me with your commitment to community and your fierce loyalty and love in friendship.
“We are so grateful you chose to support The Alliance again this year. I’m always in awe of your ability to show up for others, for this cause, and for our family. Thank you for holding Georgie in your hearts and helping us carry his light forward. We love you.”
Prince Harry also joined his wife at the George Zajfen Tennis Tournament last year.
