Discussing the idea, former royal butler Grant Harrold reveals that he believes that the couple will renew their vows – but not anytime soon. Speaking on behalf of OLBG, Mr Harrold said: “I really don’t think they will this year, it has only been eight years.
“I can certainly see it happening in the future for a big anniversary – maybe we will see them renew their vows in 2028 for the 10th anniversary.”
“That wouldn’t surprise me as it is a very American thing to do. I don’t see it happening before then though.”
He also shared that the event would likely be low-key, with none of the royals in attendance.
The former royal butler added: “If they did do it I don’t think it would be a massive event. I think it would be something much more low key.
“I highly doubt any other royals would attend and it would probably just be a more informal celebration in the US.”
The couple tied the knot on May 19, 2018, at St George’s Chapel in Windsor and was attended by members of the Royal Family.
This included the late Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, the now-King Charles, who walked his daughter-in-law down the aisle, and the now-Prince and Princess of Wales.
The couple later stepped down from royal duties in early 2020, and now reside in California with their children, seven-year-old Prince Archie and four-year-old Princess Lilibet.
