A royal expert has labeled Meghan Markle as “needy” after she posted a photo of herself in her Montecito garden while the US state visit was taking place in the UK.
The Duchess of Sussex, 44, shared a picture on her As Ever Instagram account of herself tending to strawberries in her Montecito estate.
She captioned the post: “Seasons shift, but the garden stays magic.”
While Meghan has previously shared similar content on her brand’s Instagram account, one Royal expert believes the timing of this post reveals Meghan’s “needy” nature.
This is because it’s widely believed that Meghan tends to post on her social media accounts whenever royal events are happening, seemingly in an attempt to draw attention.
“The irony is palpable. Meghan could have been the American duchess dazzling at Windsor, an asset alongside Harry. Instead, she’s busy selling £22 jars of honey, complete with instructions about maintaining a ‘bee voice’ low in the hive. Kate, on the other hand, is giving the real thing to children, no hashtags needed.”
He also labeled Meghan’s Instagram posts as “trivial”. He stated: “Kate sparkles. Melania shines. Meghan sprinkles.”
The state visit in Windsor concluded yesterday, with Donald Trump and Melania Trump now thought to be back in Washington.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, who stepped away from Royal duties in 2020 and moved to America, have remained silent about the state visit. The couple is known to have a distaste for the US President, who is a close friend of King Charles.
The state visit occurred just a week after Prince Harry reunited with his father, King Charles, for the first time since February 2024 – a hint that a Royal reconciliation might be in the works.
