Meghan Markle has been brutally compared to ‘Inspector Gadget’ by people online after sharing a new photograph of herself on her As Ever website. The Duchess of Sussex, 44, can be seen in a new photograph online showing what appears to be a menu with ‘As Ever’ on the front.
The Duchess’s face can be seen only slightly over the menu, with Meghan wearing sunglasses and a hat as she looks into the distance. The photograph is in black and white.
While many fans of the Duchess like the photograph, some people online have brutally said she looks like Inspector Gadget, a cartoon character who solves mysteries.
One person wrote on X: “Now she’s copying Inspector Gadget. She’s fooling no one, wearing the same hat, except that birds have it used for target practice, as the Inspector.”
Another said: “Go Go Gadget Flower Sprinkles!”
Someone else commented: “Haha, she wanted to be Audrey Hepburn but ended up looking like Inspector Gadget!!!”
Another X user wrote: “I thought this photo was a joke and that was a bowl on her head.”
The photograph is believed to have been uploaded to the As Ever website recently. It has been reported that Meghan will be focusing heavily on her As Ever brand this year, and has already launched two product drops so far.
This collection is yet to sell out, with people able to buy the spreads individually, in keepsake packaging, or in a trio set.
It is not known what other products Meghan is planning to launch this year.
