Mail on Sunday Editor at Large Charlotte Griffiths responded to Meghan’s appearance during a GB News discussion, describing Meghan’s encounter with Anna as “very interesting.”
Charlotte contended that Anna and Meghan “never really got on as Anna is a big monarchist and never invited her to the famous Met Gala ball.”
Charlotte also described Meghan as “awkward” during her meeting with her fashion designer friend and maintained that “she seemed a little out of place in Paris.” Additionally, Meghan apparently occupied a front-row seat at the presentation, and when a model stumbled, Meghan allegedly “burst out laughing.”
Upon her arrival at the show, Meghan chose sharp white wide-leg trousers paired with a blouse, but the standout piece was a flowing cape that swept behind her. The Duchess of Sussex was accompanied by her close friend Marcus Anderson, with the pair seated next to Tracee Ellis Ross.
She was also seen acknowledging Hollywood filmmaker Baz Luhrmann. Prince Harry did not accompany her to the event.
Meghan is thought to have last traveled to Europe in 2022, when she attended the late Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral service in London. She has not returned to the UK since that time. Following the event, Meghan made her way back to her Parisian hotel, where she caught wind of a photographer remarking that she was “shining like a diamond.”
The Duchess of Sussex had previously made appearances at New York and Toronto Fashion Weeks during her time as an actress on Suits. This is thought to be her first fashion week attendance in several years.
Speaking about Meghan’s ensemble, a representative for Meghan Markle shared with Hello!Magazine: “Over the years, the Duchess has worn a number of designs by Pierpaolo. They have worked closely together, collaborating on design for key moments on the world stage. She has long admired his craftsmanship and modern elegance, and tonight was no different.”
