Meghan Markle Left ‘Inconsolable With Tears’ After Being Harshly Criticized By Woman She ‘Admired’

Meghan Markle was recently subjected to harsh criticisms by former Vanity Fair editor-in-chief, Tina Brown, who labeled the duchess’s judgment “the worst in the world.”

According to a new report, these scathing remarks left Meghan devastated, given her alleged admiration for Brown. She also claimed that Prince Harry was always bound to leave royal life, describing him as fragile, easily influenced by his wife, yet naturally gifted as a prince.

Tina Brown argued that the duke could only return to the monarchy without Meghan Markle, and suggested Diana wouldn’t have supported the former actress.

Meghan has faced her fair share of criticism over the years, often managing to brush it off. But one scathing remark reportedly struck her much deeper, largely because it came from someone she admired.

According to royal commentator Neil Sean, the Duchess of Sussex was left “inconsolable with tears and at the same time outraged” after Tina Brown, the celebrated former editor of Vanity Fair and Tatler, publicly slammed her judgment.

Brown, who was close to Princess Diana and is the author of the bestselling biography “The Diana Chronicles,” held a special significance to Meghan. The duchess is said to have studied the book while preparing to enter royal life.

That is why, according to The Express via Sean, Meghan was “bereft because she’d admired Tina Brown and in particular read her books simply because of her connection to Princess Diana, and get this, because she wanted to find a better connection so she could understand her husband Prince Harry and how he felt about his mother.”

Speaking on “The Ankler” podcast with Janice Min in October, Brown, who also penned the 2022 bestseller “The Palace Papers,” didn’t hold back while criticizing Meghan.

She claimed the former actress “has the worst judgment of anyone in the entire world,” adding that, in her view, Meghan is “flawless about getting it all wrong. All of her ideas are total cr-p, unfortunately.”

Brown also weighed in on Prince Harry, suggesting that his royal exit had long been inevitable.

She described him as “impetuous” and said many within the Palace believed he was always destined to step away from royal life.

According to Brown, Harry struggled deeply with life inside the monarchy.

“He was so fragile, so combustible, he was so unhappy, frankly, in the constraints of the royal family,” she noted, adding, “He was terribly impressed by Meghan. He thought that she knew all. She persuaded him that she was the savvy Hollywood wheeler-dealer who could come in and make them stars and all the rest of it. And he just sort of blindly followed her like a child, really.”

Still, Brown offered rare praise for the Duke of Sussex, highlighting his natural gift for royal life.

“The thing about Harry is he’s very good at being Prince Harry,” she said. “And that’s the tragedy of all of this; he is the most talented member of the royal family, without doubt, in terms of being a prince, which is all he does know how to do. He’s really sort of flawless at it.”

Brown claimed that Harry’s path back into royal life would only be possible without Meghan by his side.

She acknowledged that his return could be a major boost for the monarchy, but doubted it would happen, citing the strained relationship between him and Prince William.

Brown further noted that Harry still shines when representing himself on the world stage.

“When he goes on these much-mocked foreign trips, he’s just really good at it. He’s charming, he’s funny, he’s sweet, he’s authentic again. He has a real sense of being true and real, and he’s flawless at it,” Brown explained.

She went on to describe the irony of the current royal situation, saying it’s sad that Harry can’t return to “England and play that role, which is desperately needed, because now the monarchy is a skeleton of itself.”

Brown added that now more than ever, the royal family “could use an upbeat, joyful ambassador to the world who would be Harry,” due to Charles’ cancer struggle, Kate, who’s in remission from cancer, and William, “who’s so curtailed by all the anxiety on his shoulders.”

Yet Brown emphasized a recurring challenge: “The problem is very much the same problem that I talked about with Princess Diana and Charles, which was known as the ‘upstage problem.’ I mean, he does upstage William. There’s no doubt about it.”

Brown has been outspoken about Harry and Meghan before. In 2022, during an interview with The Daily Beast, she cast doubt on the idea that Diana would have endorsed the couple’s decision to step away from royal life.

Brown pointed out that Diana, despite her personal struggles, still believed in the institution of the monarchy.

“Diana would have been very, very protective of Harry and I believe very anxious about this direction they [he and Meghan] have taken,” she shared.

Brown also speculated that Diana may not have been as fond of Meghan as the duchess might hope.

According to her, Diana likely would have “felt Meghan was steering Harry in a direction that was not good.”

Brown noted: “I don’t think Diana would have been the great fan of Meghan that Meghan herself might perhaps imagine.”
