Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s children Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, were left awestruck by everything they witnessed on their trip to the U.K., a source tells Star.
On Friday, July 10, Buckingham Palace confirmed that King Charles III and Queen Camilla hosted the Sussexes at their private country home, Highgrove House, in Gloucestershire, England.
“It has really opened the door for Harry to tell them more about their heritage and what it means to be a part of the monarchy,” reveals the source. “He’s thrilled they’re now old enough to start having these conversations.”
Harry’s children were officially granted royal titles after Charles, 77, took the throne in 2022 and they currently sit sixth and seventh in the line of succession.
“He’s not bombarding them with too much information,” the source says. “But he does want them to appreciate their lineage and what it means to be in the line of succession, “that it’s something they can be proud of.”

The reunion marked the first time Charles had seen Archie and Lilibet since they joined their parents in England for the late Queen Elizabeth II‘s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022.
Harry, 41, and Meghan, 44, “are under no illusions that this reunion with Charles would have happened if he hadn’t been so desperate to see his grandchildren,” admits the source. “It really can’t be overstated how integral Archie and Lili are when it comes to forging a path forward with the king and the rest of the royal family.”
As Star previously reported, Harry hopes there will be many more trips to the U.K. to come.
“In many ways, they’re carrying Harry and Meghan’s hopes and dreams for the future,” the source says of Archie and Lilibet. “Meghan sees enormous value in them embracing that side of who they are because it’s something that can only strengthen the whole family’s future prospects, and that includes the future of her brand.”
