Meghan Markle shared an intimate video clip with Prince Harry.
The Duchess of Sussex connected their relationship to World Mental Health Day.
The couple were honored for their work in the field in New York City this week.
On Friday, Meghan Markle shared a rare tribute to her husband, Prince Harry, and World Mental Health Day with a clip in her Instagram Stories of them sharing a sweet interaction together. In the black-and-white video, they appear to be taking a moment in a private room ahead of an official event. Harry is standing in the corner with a sheaf of papers and he says something to his wife that makes her turn and look at him, then burst out laughing.
Over the video, the Duchess of Sussex wrote, “Happy World Mental Health Day…to the man who always keeps me laughing,” adding a red heart emoji.
On October 9, the couple was honored at Project Healthy Minds’ annual gala in honor of World Mental Health Day, receiving the Humanitarians of the Year Award for their “exceptional global efforts in building a safer, more equitable digital world for families and youth, and their meaningful contributions to advancing mental well-being worldwide.”
During their acceptance speech, Meghan referred to her children, Archie and Lilibet, and how her and Harry’s work is in support of their future and mental health as well.
“Our children, Archie and Lilibet, are just 6 and 4 years old,” Meghan said, via People. “Can you believe it?”
She continued, “Luckily, they’re still too young for social media, but we know that day is coming. Like so many parents, we think constantly about how to embrace technology’s benefits while safeguarding against its dangers. And that hopeful intention of separation is rapidly becoming impossible.”
The duchess added, “We know that when parents come together, when communities unite, waves are made. We’ve seen it happen. We’re watching it grow. And with your support, we’ll continue building a safer digital world for all our children.”
