The post, which was a photograph of Meghan cuddling and kissing her daughter, Princess Lilibet, as they sat on rocks looking out at the sea, read: “For the woman she will one day be…Happy International Women’s Day.”
The photograph credit then read “Papa Sussex” – a nickname that seems to be for Prince Harry.
Neither Prince Harry or Prince Archie, the couple’s son, appeared in the photograph. It is believed the photograph was taken at the beach close to the family’s Montecito home, where they have lived for about six years.
It is also believed this is the first time we have seen Prince Harry referred to as “Papa Sussex”, with royal fans aware that his children call him “Papa”.
The mention of Sussex in the nickname is then a nod to the prince’s royal title The Duke of Sussex – a dukedom given to him by his late grandmother Queen Elizabeth II on his wedding day to Meghan in 2018.
