Meghan Markle celebrated her daughter Lilibet’s fifth birthday bright and early today, sharing an Instagram tribute to her youngest child. The post included two new photos of Lili—ones that gave a close look at her long red hair and latest floral dress. “Our dream girl,” Meghan wrote. “Happy 5th birthday, Lili 🤍”
Lili appears wearing a cream piece with flower embroidery on the skirt.
It seems to be the same dress she wore when she joined her mother for As Ever’s High Camp Supply collaboration shoot earlier this year:
Meghan has posted glimpses of Lili here and there over the last year. In the shots, her daughter often wears floral pieces, showing the style has become a bit of a signature for the young royal whose nickname is pronounced the same way as the flower.
In mid-May, Meghan gave fans a look at Lili helping her pick out an outfit for her appearance in Geneva. “Mama’s little helper 💜,” she wrote. Lili appeared wearing a red rose hair tie and matching ruffled ensemble.
The 5-year-old also wore a white dress adorned with pink and orange flowers for the family’s recent trip to Disneyland, which Meghan shared photos of on May 11.
During Easter, Lili was in a pink sleeveless dress covered in flowers, too:
Lili’s birthday is roughly a month after her brother Archie’s. The Duchess of Sussex put the spotlight on him during his big day, posting two new photos of him to mark his seventh birthday.
Meghan thoroughly documents her kids’ day-to-day lives. In April 2025, she detailed keeping secret emails for them where she regularly sends photos, videos, and voice recordings of themselves.
“You email them like, ‘Here’s your report card from today,’ or ‘Oh my gosh, you said the funniest thing this morning,’ or ‘Here’s a picture of you two having breakfast,’” she said on The Jamie Kern Lima Show. “These messages can include the things that you’re not going to frame, the things that you’re not going to put pen to paper in a journal.”
She hopes when she gives Lili and Archie the accounts someday that they’ll “be able to look back and go, ‘Oh my gosh, she has loved us so much,’” she said. “And that’s, I think, the best part about being a mom. And we go back to a love language or gifts. It’s not about the grandeur of a gesture. It’s about, ‘I see you. I’m nurturing you, and I see you so deeply. And I love being able to see your growth.’ And I’m just so proud of them.”
