Meghan Markle has announced the precise launch date for her Christmas special episode of “With Love, Meghan” on Netflix.
The Duchess of Sussex revealed today that the “Holiday Celebration” installment will debut on December 3rd.
Nevertheless, this timing could spark controversy as it coincides with a significant Royal engagement featuring King Charles.
The monarch and Queen Camilla are scheduled to host the German President for a state visit at Windsor Castle on that very same date.
Buckingham Palace confirmed this arrangement last month, stating: “The President of Germany, accompanied by Frau Büdenbender, will pay a State Visit to the United Kingdom, hosted by His Majesty The King, from Wednesday 3rd December to Friday 5th December.”
The duchess already has two complete seasons available to stream on Netflix.
The episode’s release date announcement follows Meghan’s As Ever brand launching its inaugural holiday collection just weeks ago.
The collection included a variety of items such as candles, spread gift sets, and a hot toddy mulling spice kit.
The coincidence of the episode’s release date with the Royal Family’s state visit might raise some eyebrows, but it wouldn’t be the first time such an overlap has occurred.
Just last week, while Prince William was in Brazil for his Earthshot Prize, news broke that Meghan was planning a return to acting. Additionally, Meghan announced that her As Ever products were now available at a bookstore near her Montecito residence.
It’s understood that Netflix had scheduled the release date prior to the Palace announcing the state visit.
