Meghan Markle recently attended Kris Jenner’s 70th birthday party, alongside her husband, Prince Harry. And it was a photo posted by Kris’s daughter, Kim, from the bash, that set tongues wagging.
Following the lavish event, which had a 007 theme to pay homage to Kris’s age, Kim shared a montage of images on her social media profiles. However, eagle-eyed fans quickly noticed that she deleted one of the images, a shot with Harry and Meghan.
The photo shows Kim, 45, with one hand on her stomach and another on Meghan’s back. The pair is smiling as the reality star leans in slightly toward the Duchess. Harry, 41, can then be seen chatting to a fellow party-goer in the background.
Kris also shared an image posing with Meghan and Harry after the party, but deleted hers as well. In it, the trio is looking at a photographer to their side, smiling, with their arms around each other. Both snaps have been shared on Reddit.
However, since the news of the photo deletion spread online, media consultant Michael Levine has revealed what this move by Kim and Kris really means.
Speaking exclusively to Daily Express US, Michael noted that when it comes to Hollywood photos like these, when they’re deleted, it’s usually not in error.
“The quiet disappearance of Meghan and Harry from Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian’s birthday posts speaks volumes. In Hollywood, images are currency — and when that currency is pulled, it’s rarely accidental,” Michael explained. “The couple’s relentless quest for relevance continues to collide with a public increasingly fatigued by their perpetual narrative of grievance.”
Continuing, Michael claimed that Kim and Kris may have felt sharing the images caused them too much drama, remarking, “If two of the world’s most influential image-makers decide that featuring the Sussexes is more trouble than it’s worth, that’s not a glitch — that’s a verdict.”
“In the modern visibility economy, being edited out may be the most honest feedback of all,” he concluded.
This move by the A-list reality stars comes as Meghan was slammed by social media users for her $5,000 party outfit. The Duchess wore an all-black ensemble for Kris Jenner’s California bash, but many complained that the look wasn’t quite right.
“Can’t stand it when blacks don’t match,” One X user said.”The black of the skirt and the black of the top. A fail for a Bond-themed party. If she wanted this silhouette, why couldn’t she find a dress (all same color black)? This needed color. Maybe drop emeralds? Boring!”
A second person then chimed in with, “Square bob top half didn’t match skirt. It looked awful.”
