The White House and President Donald Trump are making moves to save the opening week of First Lady Melania Trump‘s documentary, set to be released on January 30 and widely expected to bomb.
Entitled Melania, the project cost Amazon’s MGM Studios $40 million. It is projected to make just $5 million on its opening weekend, even though the studio is spending an additional $35 million on marketing and expanding the release to 27 countries.
Entertainment reporter Rob Shuter claimed that advance ticket sales for the movies have been “dismal” and theaters are expected to be “practically empty.”
