Meow Wolf Houston, the surreal and artistic playground in Fifth Ward, is once again turning up the volume on local artists with the “Phenomenomaly” performance series.
The new program, announced exclusively by the Chronicle, will transform Houston’s “Radio Tave” exhibition into a “living stage.” And what does that mean, exactly? Guests can explore the venue on designated weekends that will features performances by Houston-based artists across music, dance, and spoken word.

Every person’s experience will be different, depending where you go and who you meet along the way. Think of it as an interactive concert or piece of theater.
Last month, a new mural was unveiled on the outside of the building featuring the work of several Houston artists.
“Phenomenomaly” runs 1-6 p.m. Fridays-Sundays, with multiple performances each day, beginning in November. Tickets are available at meowwolf.com/phenomenomaly.
The schedule includes:
T2 Dance Company: A Houston-based company founded by two physicians who bonded over a love for Bollywood dance and music. Nov. 14–16 and 21–23.
The Outspoken Bean: Houston’s former poet laureate will combine storytelling and performance art. Nov. 28-30.
Hot City Brass Band: A Houston twist on the classic New Orleans sound. Dec. 5-7.
Hopera: A Houston opera company that breaks down the formal barriers of classical music by staging high-quality, casual performances in local craft breweries and community spaces. Dec. 12-14.
Mariachi Oro de mi Tierra: Houston mariachi group that has performed throughout the city. Dec. 19-21.
Break Methodz/Venom Entertainment: Breakdance collective led by B-Boy Venum. Dec. 26–28.
The Mighty Orq: Orq is a staple of the Houston music scene who combines blues, folk and rock. Dec. 31-Jan. 4.
Meow Wolf Houston opened on Halloween 2024 and features works from more than 100 artists, many from Texas. Cowboix Hevvven is a full-service bar and restaurant within Meow Wolf Houston.
