Mercedes “MJ” Javid isn’t afraid to admit that the pain of her recent split from estranged husband Tommy Feight is still fresh.
“Thank god, I’m gonna keep it very positive,” The Shahs of Sunset album, 53, exclusively told Us Weekly of how she’s holding up while attending BravoCon 2025 in Las Vegas on Saturday, November 15.
“I feel like, of course, it’s a difficult thing, but we’re gonna be good,” she continued, “It’s very, very new and raw. So I’m still, like, processing like 99 percent of it as we speak.”
Javid filed for divorce from Feight after seven years of marriage in October, filing her petition in Los Angeles Superior Court. She listed the date of marriage as March 21, 2018, per filings obtained by Us at the time, and the date of separation as October 17, 2025 — the date of the divorce filing.
Javid and Feight first met in 2015 before getting engaged the following year. In 2017, Javid spoke to E News about the prospect of tying the knot with Feight.
“We got engaged a year in and then we went through lots of ups and downs with family and just a lot of life curveballs,” she said at the time. “My dad took a turn for his health …. and Tommy and I moved in together. All of these stressful things just made our bond even tighter and when you have so many important life things happening, you don’t pick fights with each other. You just want to stay sane and have as much gratitude and support for one another.”

Javid cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the dissolution of her marriage in her 2025 court filings. When it comes to the pair’s shared son, 6-year-old Shams, Javid is requesting the court award her both primary legal and physical custody while asking that her ex be granted visitation rights.
“I have been the parent primarily involved in the caregiving and overall needs of our minor son,” Javid told the court in a separate filing. “I take our son to school and pick him up every day. I also organize and take our son to his play-dates, parties, doctors’, and dentist’s appointments.”
She continued at the time, “Likewise, I am responsible for his extracurricular activities and school activities with little to not involvement from [Feight]. My hours of employment are entirely within my control which allow me the flexibility to continue being primarily responsible for our son in this way. By no means do I want to alienate [Feight] from our son and I am more than happy to mutually agree to additional visitations or modifications in the best interest of our son.”
Feight, 53, has yet to respond to the divorce filing.
While speaking to Us on Saturday, Javid’s former Shahs of Sunset costar Reza Farahan praised his bestie for how she has handled the situation thus far.
“Do you notice her attitude from day one has been this positive, and she’s wanted to maintain that for her son, which is wonderful to see,” Farahan exclusively told Us.
While the possibility of hooking up at BravoCon is always on the table — earlier this weekend, The Valley star Brittany Cartwright joked she’d be interested in getting to know the “boys” of Southern Charm amid her contentious divorce with ex Jex Taylor — Feight made it clear that she is keeping her eyes (and everything else) to herself during the three-day convention in Sin City.
“Are you kidding me? I’m married right now,” she said of the prospect of hooking up with a fellow Bravo star. “We are just doing baby steps — things like [being] separated, new homes. That kind of thing.”
