Mia Tindall took centre stage at Aintree on Friday, as she struggled to contain her emotions at another frenetic day of horse racing.
The 12-year-old joined her parents, Zara and Mike Tindall, for Ladies Day at the Grand National Festival, where photographers captured her experiencing a whirlwind of emotions as the action unfolded.
Elizabeth II’s great-granddaughter showed the Royal Family’s passion for horse racing runs firmly through the generations during her rare public outing.
The daughter of Olympic-medal-winning equestrian Zara and granddaughter of Princess Anne, the President of the British Olympic Association and herself a successful eventer; it was inevitable Mia would inherit such passion.
The expressive youngster was spotted smiling, gasping, and enthusiastically gesturing towards the track throughout the afternoon’s racing.
At one point, her mother, 44, playfully raised an eyebrow at her daughter’s theatrical responses, sharing an affectionate moment between the pair.
After the animated and extravagant performance in the stands of Aintree, Mia has earned herself comparisons to the notoriously cheeky Prince Louis, the youngest son of the Prince and Princess of Wales.

She looked dapper on the sidelines, donning a pinstripe royal blue suit, a gold bag and modelling a blue, woven headband.
Her mother, meanwhile, sported an elegant, dusty pink blazer paired with the matching trousers and hat.
Zara also brought, Dolly Maude, 51, who was appointed as royal lady-in-waiting to Princess Anne in 2024.

A close friend of the Tindall family, Ms Maude famously assisted with the birth of the Tindall’s third child, Lucas, in 2021, having worked as a maternity practitioner in the NHS in Gloucestershire for 13 years.
Neither of Mia’s younger siblings, Lena, seven, nor Lucas, five, accompanied her to Merseyside for this particular outing.
But the trio were joined by Mike, 47, who looked equally smart in a beige blazer teamed with black, toned trousers.
Ms Maude was Zara’s maid of honour at her 2011 wedding to the rugby star, and has been present for the births of all three of their children.
The Tindalls are well-known enthusiasts of British racing, having been photographed in high spirits at Cheltenham just last month, where Zara helped a fellow racegoer with her wheelchair.
A mother-of-three, Zara also returned to competitive equestrian action in March at the Barbury Horse Trials, held at Sharpridge Farm in Marlborough.
