Michael Rapaport has been extremely vocal about his dislike for mayoral elect, Zohran Mamdani.
On November 4, the 34-year-old became the first Muslim mayoral-elect of New York City. He ran on a campaign promising affordability, rent freezes, free buses, and free childcare for all New Yorkers.
Going up against Andrew Cuomo and Curtis Sliwa, Mamdani was a frontrunner for most of the race, though he was hit with intense criticism and Islamaphobia. One of those who is not a fan of Mamdani is Rapaport.
Speaking on the Club Random podcast hosted by Bill Maher, Rapaport slammed the mayoral elect in an episode that aired the day before the election, November 3.
“This guy is so full of f—–g s–t,” Rapaport said. “It’s baffling to me that we’ve gotten this far, but this is where we are.”
Rapaport, a strong supporter of Israel, had previously slammed Mamdani after the then-mayoral candidate refused to say if Hamas should disarm and give up leadership. Later, during a mayoral debate, Mamdani said “of course” Hamas should disarm.
The comedian added during his talk with Maher that he believed that Sliwa should have dropped out of the race so voters could focus on the two frontrunners, Mamdani and Cuomo.
Rapaport also shared his thoughts on the current state of New York City, specifically what his wife has allegedly gone through. “I want people to feel safe in New York City,” he said.
“You know, I want my wife to feel safe. My wife is a tough broad. She doesn’t feel safe in Midtown Manhattan during the day,” he continued. “My wife, in the last two or three years, has been groped in Times Square, has had a f—ing shoe thrown at her, has been called the n-word, and got proposed to on the train by a homeless person, all between 11 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.”

The comedian continued, “It’s not cool for women to feel uncomfortable during the daytime in the greatest city on Earth. It’s also not cool that, under any circumstances, you could touch a police officer, not be from this country, come out the next day and walk out of the court like f—ing Tupac like those guys did when they jumped, you know, like f—ing giving the middle finger to photographers.”
Rapaport’s wife, Kebe, and he have been married since 2016. The two first dated in the 1990s before breaking up, leading to Rapaport marrying TV producer Nichole Beattie in 2000.
Rapaport and Beattie divorced in 2007, and he was seen with Kebe publicly again in 2012.
