Not so groovy news.
The National Enquirer has learned that Mike Myers has been offered tens of millions of dollars to reprise the role of shagalicious British spy Austin Powers in a long-awaited fourth film, but he keeps on saying no!
“Execs are tearing their hair out,” dishes a source. “Hollywood needs a new Austin Powers movie more than ever, and so do the numerous financial participants who have an interest in the franchise.”
The star, 62, isn’t the only one who stands to profit from a reboot, notes the source. “It’s the studios, production companies, writers and filmmakers who helped him turn this film franchise into a global sensation.”

However, the comedian, who’s worth an estimated $200 million, simply doesn’t need the money.
“It’s been almost 25 years since the last Austin Powers movie and he’s already made tens of millions of dollars from the franchise,” explains the source. “He still makes a fortune from Halloween costumes alone.”
Myers is also set to rake in tens of millions over the next few years with the reboot of the Shrek franchise, a voice-acting gig that requires far less work than live-action films. A new animated film starring the original cast, including Cameron Diaz and Eddie Murphy, is already in production.
“He has an easy life and he wants to focus on being a great dad to his young kids,” the source says of the Saturday Night Live alum, who shares son Spike, 12, and daughters Sunday, 10, and Paulina, 8, with wife Kelly Tisdale. “It’s as simple as that.”
