Mike and Zara Tindall may not be working royals, but they are one of the most popular couples in the Royal Family. While they often attend big royal events together, they are not seen as often on the public stage as other royal couples are, much to the disappointment of their fans.
However, this was not the case last week as Mike and Zara enjoyed a rare date night in London. The couple stepped out at the Beauty Awards in London together, where they revealed what their ideal date night would be.
This was revealed by Mike, 47, who described himself and his wife as “very low key”.
Talking to The Daily Mail, Mike revealed that rather than a glitzy event for a date night, the couple would instead prefer “food, telly and a glass of vino”.
The couple also shared their Christmas plans, which will again see them spend the big day at Sandringham with the rest of the Royal Family, hosted by King Charles and Queen Camilla.
Zara said: “We are so lucky, Christmas is always amazing. We get to do a lot of fun things, and the place looks amazing. We will see everyone.”
Zara and Mike, who share three children together, also addressed just what keeps their marriage strong at the event.
Princess Anne’s daughter told The Daily Mail: “We’ve been together for 21 years.
“Nothing runs smoothly ever. You’ve got to accept that in life. It’s a work-in-progress [but] you’ve got to have fun.”
It is believed the couple will next step out together on Friday to attend Princess Kate’s carol concert in London.
