Fátima Bosch, the newly crowned Miss Universe 2025, is speaking out following her win.
The former Miss Mexico has made headlines over the past few weeks after she went viral for having a confrontation with a beauty pageant executive.
On Friday, Bosch, 25, took to social media to share her first statement.
“Today I reaffirmed that what God has destined for you, neither envy stops it, nor destiny aborts it, nor luck changes it,” she captioned her Instagram post, which was translated from Spanish to English.
Bosch concluded her message: “Long live Christ the King.”
The model included several photos of herself in a carousel post-win.
Many shots included Bosch wearing her crown and sash, waving to the audience and being surrounded by fellow contestants.
Other images included the Mexico native walking down the runway and a close-up of her sash, crown and flowers.
Bosch’s monumental moment comes weeks after she was berated by an executive during a Miss Universe event that was livestreamed on Facebook on Nov. 4.
“Mexico, where are you?” Pageant executive Nawat Itsaragrisil called out. “I heard you’re not going to support everything about Thailand. Is that true?”
She denied the claims but the exec went on to call her a “dummy” in front of the crowd.
Bosch then stood up — a move Itsaragrisil questioned.
“I still keep talking to everybody, why you still stand up to talk to me,” Itsaragrisil asked.
“Because I have a voice,” she told him. “You are not respecting me as a woman.”
Bosch led a walkout of several other contestants.
“As women, you need to show respect for us. I’m here representing a country, and it’s not my fault that you have problems with my organization,” the ringleader responded.
Itsaragrisil called for security to take Bosch out of the room and threatened the beauty queens with disqualification if they left.
He later apologized for making people who saw the video “uncomfortable.”
The next day, former Miss USA, Noelia Voight, took to social media to praise Bosch for her walkout.
“I stand in full solidarity with Fátima Bosch, Vi[c]toria Kjær Theilvig, and all of the incredible women who walked out yesterday in protest of the unacceptable treatment that occurred at the Miss Universe 2025 Orientation in Thailand,” she wrote on Instagram on November 5.
“When I woke up yesterday morning and saw the video circulating across the internet showing what happened, I was shocked, disgusted, disappointed, and genuinely horrified,” Voight explained.
The model, 26, expressed that she was treated similarly during her career.
“As someone who served as Miss USA 2023 and later made the decision to step away from my title, I understand what it feels like when your voice is dismissed and your dignity is demeaned,” she said.
“There is no place for power without humility in a platform that claims to uplift women. There is no place for intimidation or ego tripping disguised as ‘leadership,’ or for using titles and stages to instill fear and shame instead of empower,” Voight detailed.
“And there is absolutely no place for treating human beings especially those representing their nations with bravery and grace-with anything less than dignity, respect, and equity.”
Voight represented the United States at the Miss Universe 2023 pageant.
She ended up stepping down from her reign after just seven months, due to mental health reasons.
It was later revealed that the reason she relinquished her crown was over “harmful workplace conditions” and a “toxic atmosphere” created by the then Miss USA bosses.
Meanwhile, Bosch’s win has since been rocked with controversy.
First, former Miss Universe judge Omar Harfouch announced his resignation from the panel just days before the finale. He went on to claim on social media that Bosch’s win was “fake.”
“Miss Mexico is a Fake winner,” he alleged on Instagram on Friday. “I Omar Harfouch declared yesterday exclusively on the American HBO, 24 hours before the Miss Universe final, that Miss Mexico would win—because Miss Universe owner Raúl Rocha is in business with Fatima Bosch’s father.”
Harfouch added: “All details will be showed in May 2026 on HBO. Raul Rocha and his son urged me, week ago in Dubai, to vote for #Fatima Bosh because they need her to win ‘because it will be good for our business’ they said to me !”
The former judge went on to tell People that Bosch’s family tried to sway his vote.
He claimed they said that “for our business, [it] is very important to secure that she will win.”
However, the Miss Universe Organization denied all of Harfouch’s claims. They stated that “all competition evaluations continue to follow the established, transparent, and supervised MUO protocols.”
