MODULA 26 is a new synthesizer and electronic music expo in the heart of Zurich, Switzerland, from July 17 to 18, 2026.
Between 2018 and 2019, the electronic music collective LoopNBeat organized the Zurich Modular Festival. Great events where I created video content and an entire article.
With MODULA 26, the LoopNBeat team returns with a new Synthesizer event right in the heart of Zurich.
Modula 26
MODULA 26 is a two-day and two-night celebration of synthesizers, electronic music, and the creative minds shaping the future of sound.
Unlike the previous more modular-focused event, this is more about all areas of electronic music, including synths, drum machines, MIDI, DAW, live performances, and more.
Such events are great opportunities to meet and communicate with others who share your passion or whom you may only know from the social media bubble. But it’s also a great way to explore new gear and live music.
For this purpose, the organizers have rented an entire building which will be transformed into a temple of synthesizers and electronic music for two days.
On several floors and in the building’s corners, visitors can expect a small but excellent Synthesizer exhibition, workshops, sessions, and live performances spread over the two days.
The exhibition hall features products from both small independent and larger players in the music industry, either represented by developers themselves or by the distribution
- 1010music, ASM, Australian Tactile Instruments, Avalon Harmonics, Bitwig, Dnipro Modular, DPW Design, Endorphin.es, ESI, Expressive E, Half Time Modular, Intech Studio, Jolin, Joranalogue, Koma Elektronik, Morphor, NEO
- Novation, Oberheim, Oner Lab, Playtronica, Polyend, Synthstrom Audible, Sequential, Teenage Engineering and more
In addition to the exhibition hall where you can explore the products, there is also the opportunity to delve deeper through workshops in dedicated classrooms that you can register for.
For example, there are workshops for the ASM synths, the new Morphor Echon 6 Synthesizer, Polyend, Expressive E Osmose, or the Sequential Fourm with CALC.
Live Is Live
For those who find looking at and learning about the gear too technical, you can also enjoy live performances throughout the day.
The MODULA 26 organizers have packed two days with live acts, offering visitors a wide spectrum of electronic music across various stages. This ranges from live techno to ambient and experimental music.
In the afternoon, you can check out performances from Steve Baltes (Baltes&Erbe), Schlagschatten, Rosenkranz, and more. The longer the day goes on, the more acts take to the stage.
Among others, there are concerts by Julia Bondar (Endorphin.es), Die Trepanation (Girts of Erica Synths), Passpartout Duo, Sasha Ketterlin, Oli Kuster, Polsick, and more. Tons of live music that will go until 4 in the Zurich morning.
This looks like a very varied and fun event for Synthesizer fans.
Modula 26 will be from July 17 to July 18, 2026, in the Dynamo (Wasserwerkstrasse 21) in Zurich, Switzerland. Tickets are now available for CHF 25 for one day and CHF 39 for two days. Students benefit from a discount.
