The 27-year-old racks up billions of views each year with his crazy challenge videos and heartwarming “helping people in need” content. However, he is now concerned with the proliferation of AI video tools and platforms, as anyone can create videos without actually putting in the effort. This, he fears, could hurt real creators whose livelihoods depend on these platforms.
This is not the first time AI tools have stirred up controversy. Earlier this year, MrBeast got himself in hot water with his AI thumbnail generator on Viewstats. It lets people make thumbnails that look just like other creators’ without asking. He said it was meant to help small creators create better-quality thumbnails, but the backlash grew too loud.
