Mrunal Thakur has finally broken her silence on the rumours linking her romantically to Dhanush, firmly shutting down speculation that the two were set to marry on February 14, 2026.
Striking a mix of honesty and humour, Mrunal Thakur admitted that discussions about an arranged marriage do come up at home, but stressed that such decisions shouldn’t be hurried.
By tackling the rumours head-on with a light, easy-going approach, she effectively shifted the focus back to her career, making it clear that her attention right now is on work and upcoming projects, not on speculative chatter about her personal life.
While promoting her film in Mumbai, the actor laughed off the chatter before setting the record straight, saying, “I don’t know where these rumours spread from; they are completely baseless.”
Keeping the mood light, Mrunal joked about how quickly misinformation travels, remarking that for some people, Valentine’s Day had clearly turned into April Fools’ Day.
When asked again about the alleged wedding date, she playfully quipped, “Guys, aaj meri haldi hai, kal sangeet hai. Please khana kha lena,” before reiterating that she had no clue about any such plans. She added that if and when she decides to get married, she would announce it herself, explaining, “One shouldn’t just get married just for the sake of it… when the time is right, when you meet the right match… that time you should go for it.”
She is currently busy promoting the romantic drama Do Deewane Seher Mein with Siddhant Chaturvedi, who added to the fun by joking that admirers might soon start lining up outside her house.
Do Deewane Seher Mein is slated for release on February 20.
Meanwhile, Mrunal Thakur is preparing for a packed release calendar. Among her upcoming projects is Dacoit, co-starring Adivi Sesh, which has now been pushed to April 10 to steer clear of a box-office clash with Dhurandhar 2 and Toxic.
