Canadian rap superstar Drake made a surprise visit to Munich’s Oktoberfest, posting photos at the world-renowned beer festival on Saturday on his Instagram account.
The pictures of Drake, 38, showed him in an unusual outfit seemingly inspired by traditional Bavarian lederhosen.
The dungarees he wore featured a glupperl, a Bavarian term for a small clothespin, with his name on it, as well as a small heart that read “Too hot to Hendl.”
The phrase is a German word play on the English expression “Too hot to handle,” which is also the title of a US reality show about sexual abstinence.
In Bavarian, the term “hendl” refers to roast chicken, a much-beloved staple at Oktoberfest every year.
Drake appears to be on something of a German culture tour: Last week, he was spotted at the legendary Berlin club “Berghain.”
The 190th Oktoberfest opened on Saturday amid record-breaking temperatures. Alongside Drake, other stars attended the opening, including model Heidi Klum and her husband, Tom Kaulitz.
