New Found Glory’s Chad Gilbert Gives Health Update In Ongoing Cancer Battle
New Found Glory co-founder and guitarist Chad Gilbert has opened up about his latest cancer battle after doctors discovered three tumors on his brain in February. Gilbert first noticed something was wrong during the band’s album release party in Nashville, when he suddenly lost control of the left side of his body and couldn’t play guitar. A walnut-sized tumor was pressing on the back-right portion of his brain. Surgery successfully removed it, though his recovery hit a complication when his sodium levels crashed. Gilbert has been fighting adrenocortical carcinoma, a rare adrenal gland cancer, since 2021, and says he’s “very, very lucky” to still be here, adding that his mission remains inspiring fans to come to shows and have a good time.

Here’s a taste of what Prince fans have been waiting for. The first single from a series of previously unreleased recordings that will be part of a new vault album. It’s called “With This Tear“. Prince plays all of the instruments. It was recorded at Paisley Park in 1991.
The line-up for the Totally Tubular Festival has been announced.
Thomas Dolby and A Flock of Seagulls will headline. But it also includes a band that hasn’t toured together in decades. All four original members of The Producers.
Other acts on the tour are The Motels, Animotion, The Escape Club, and Tommy Tutone.

Billy Bob Thornton Has Written 18 to 20 Country Songs
Billy Bob Thornton has been writing country songs ever since he wrote Flatland Cavalry’s “Midland After Midnight” for the “Landman” soundtrack.
He says he’s written about 18 to 20 songs, and they’re more reminiscent of something from Waylon Jennings or Johnny Cash. Quote, “I don’t write what they write these days. Modern country music doesn’t thrill me.
“I call it ‘Def Leppard with a steel guitar.’ It just sounds like pop music.”

Drake Hid the Release Date of His New Album in a Massive Ice Structure
Drake’s next album will be called “Iceman”. The release date has not been announced yet. Instead, it’s been hidden in ice. Like, a ton of ice.
Drake posted pictures of workers building a massive ice structure out of smaller blocks of ice in a parking lot in Toronto. (You can see video of the construction here.)
The “Iceman” release date is somewhere inside all that ice, and when it melts, we’ll know when we can expect the album.
Drake has already released three singles from it: “What Did I Miss”, “Which One”, and “Dog House”.
