This article has been updated to reflect the postponement/cancellation of events originally scheduled for Jan. 25.
Where can you get live music, theater productions (musical and non-musical) and nature hikes before the snow begins to fall this weekend? Right here in North Jersey.
Unfortunately, the events previously listed that were scheduled for Jan. 25 have been postponed or cancelled. The brunch buffet at the Meadowlands Racetrack will be Feb. 1 and the piano concert by NGXB at American Dream will be March 1. The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra performance at NJPAC has been cancelled.
But before we get hit with the storm, there is still time to catch “Spring Awakening” in Fair Lawn and “Blithe Spirit” in Leonia, and take an afternoon history hike at the Closter Nature Center.
As for live music, veterans of Billy Joel’s classic band will be in Newton. Plus, we’ve got funk and disco in Teaneck, indie rock in Clifton, acoustic folk in Morristown, and classic rock with KoverUp in East Rutherford and the Kootz in Little Falls, while the Harrisons will play “nearly every genre” in Newfoundland.
See below for the details and snowy weather forecast. Enjoy your weekend!
