Hooky Nashville — a seven-screen cineplex with dining options — will open Wednesday, April 29, in downtown.
According to a release, tickets for the films are now on sale.
Hooky Nashville will operate from Nashville Yards’ mid-rise office and entertainment building that fronts the 900 block of Church Street (see here). Global entertainment and sports agency Creative Artists Agency is the anchor tenant of the building.
Austin-based Hooky Entertainment, which operates 19 Hooky locations in six states, will oversee the complex. The company is associated with Es Vedra Cinemas, which offers a portfolio of companies that includes cineplexes Violet Crown, Times Square Grand Slam and ShowBiz.
To span 50,000 square feet, Hooky Nashville will include, in addition to the seven-screen cineplex, food and beverage options, bowling, an arcade with video games and private event rooms.
Hooky is billed as Nashville’s first full eat-in cinema, with the seven auditoriums to offer a collective approximately 380 seats. The facility features a large-format SDX screen, velvet couch-style seating and “full-service, in-theater dining, with a chef-driven menu and craft cocktails, draft beers and wine delivered directly to guests’ seats.”
The menu features elote fritters, shrimp, dry-rubbed chicken wings, Detroit-style pizza, various sandwiches, burgers, salads and milkshakes.
“Hooky is a natural fit for Nashville Yards, a development built around bringing people together through shared experiences,” Hooky Entertainment CEO Charlie Tiantawach said in the release. “It’s about giving people more ways to be connected. From cinema to cocktails to gaming competitions, it’s all designed to turn a night out into something bigger.”
Joshua Pemberton will serve as general manager of Hooky Nashville.
Southwest Value Partners, the master developer of Nashville Yards, and AEG teamed to develop the sites of the CAA Building and the adjacent The Pinnacle (which offers a live music venue of the same name).
