TV networks are preparing for their 2026-2027 lineups. Unfortunately, that means a number of shows have already been canceled or are coming to an end as their seasons wrap up this spring.
So far, NBC has announced that eight TV series are not returning.
On Tuesday, Deadline reported that “The Hunting Party” was canceled by the network after two seasons. Universal Television, the studio behind the series, is hoping the show will land at another network or a streaming service. The procedural drama stars Melissa Roxburgh as a FBI special agent who leads a team to find criminals.
NBC canceled three of its talk shows earlier this year: “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” “Karamo” and “The Steve Wilkos Show.”
Clarkson’s show comes to an end after seven seasons; she decided to leave the show to spend more time with her children. “Karamo” is ending after its fifth season; its host Karamo Brown also recently left his hosting gig on “Queer Eye.” “The Steve Wilkos Show,” hosted by former director of security on “The Jerry Springer Show,” wraps 19 seasons this year, though the show will live on in reruns next fall.
“Law & Order: Organized Crime,” starring Christopher Meloni as Elliot Stabler, has been canceled after five seasons. Meloni posted a heartfelt video on Instagram about the cancellation, thanking fans for giving Stabler “life and longevity.”
“Brilliant Minds,” starring Zachary Quinto as a gifted neurologist with face blindness, is over after two seasons at the network. Deadline reports that the series was the lowest-rated drama on its linear lineup.
“Stumble,” a mockumentary cheerleading team series starring Jenn Lyon, Kristin Chenoweth, Taran Killiam, Arianna Davis and Jarrett Austin Brown, only lasted one season on the network.
“Access Hollywood” and “Access Daily,” two Hollywood news shows on the network, were also canceled. “Access Hollywood” had been on the air for 30 seasons.
