As we inch closer to 2026, new updates on the second season of Netflix’s hit live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s best-selling manga One Piece have come to light. The streaming giant has now given fans a sneak peek into a key location of the series, Loguetown.
The city will be one last pit stop for Luffy and his Straw Hat crew before they set sail for the treacherous Grand Line. For manga and anime fans, this tease is a big one!
The latest images take fans inside the bustling port city through the colourful streets. Known as “The Town of the Beginning and the End,” Loguetown is both the birth and death place of Pirate King, Gol D. Roger – a pirate Luffy looks up to. With Luffy wanting to claim the coveted title and, of course, the greatest treasure, Loguetown will be a significant stop in the would-be Pirate King’s larger journey, especially on an emotional level.
In a statement to IGN producer Joe Tracz, while speaking about Loguetown, said, “ Loguetown is both a farewell to the past and the start of a new adventure for our Straw Hats. Their world is about to get bigger, the stakes higher, and the villains even more formidable. And it all begins here, setting the stage for the unforgettable journey ahead!”
Interestingly, these updates come shortly after the show was renewed for Season 3, which will be pushed into production this year in Cape Town. As for Season 2, an exact release date is not yet set, but it is slated to premiere sometime in 2026.
