Newest Adds to Saving Country Music’s Top 25 Current Playlist (#164)

The gall on these tech pirates trying to pass off AI slop as “country” music. Rest assured you’ll only find 100% Certified genuine human emotions straight from the heart on this playlist.

The Saving Country Music Top 25 Playlist is built to keep you informed on all the best songs and albums coming out right here, right now in country and roots music. It’s available on most all streaming formats (see below), or you can just use the song, artist, and album recommendations to find something new to listen to. New songs just added.

Newest Additions:

Luke Bell – “Dark House of Fools” – Luke Bell’s new 28-song posthumous album The King Is Back is full of absolute gems he left behind including this well-written ode to honky tonks that gives you classic James Hand vibes.

The Droptines – “Tombstone” – There’s not enough artists and bands attempting to revive the energy of the ’90s alt-country era that set the table for Americana and the country revolution. Now signed to Big Loud Records, The Droptines tap into that rock attitude and turn in a heater with “Tombstone.”

Kaitlin Butts – “The Middle” – Leave it to Kaitlin Butts to take a Jimmy Eat World song and make it into a sentimental and touching country tune. It’s the first taste of her Yeehaw Sessions covers EP out November 14th to celebrate her signing to Republic Records.

Joshua Hedley – “Clueless” – Western Swing isn’t out of style, not if Joshua Hedley has anything to say about it. Clarinet in a country song? Clarinet in a country song! This is what Hedley and co-producer Ray Benson declare with “Clueless” off Hedley’s new Western Swing album All Hat.

Bailey Rae – “Fresh Out Of Teardrops” – Oklahoma’s Bailey Rae makes her second appearance on the playlist with this quintessential country tearjerker written by Rebecca Lynn Howard. Country music at its finest.

Colter Wall – “The Longer You Hold On” – Only a few more sleeps before cowboy & Western artist Colter Wall drops his honky tonk album Memories and Empties on November 14th. If “The Longer You Hold On” is any indication, it could be one of the best in 2025.

Emily Scott Robinson – “Appalachia” – The title track to her upcoming album out January 30th, 2026, “Appalachia” is the perfect showcase for Robinson’s songwriting, soaring voice, and her elevated guitar playing. Strong in her passion for her home state of North Carolina, it was inspired by the devastating flooding caused by Hurricane Helene in 2024.

Grayson Jenkins w/ Emily Jamerson – “Only Wanna Love You” – Co-produced by Pony Bradshaw and featuring harmonies by Emily Jamerson, Grayson says, “It’s a love song, but more than that, it’s about meeting someone where they’re at with no expectations.”

Spencer Hatcher – “Honky Tonk Hideaway”
– Spencer Hatcher has released one classic country heater after another, and “Honky Tonk Hideaway” is no different. It’s officially the title track of his first EP, and the third of the six songs on the EP to be featured on this playlist, speaking to the superior country music coming from Spencer.

Bryce Leatherwood – “I’d Be Damned” – One thing’s for sure: Bryce Leatherwood can sing ’em. He finds a super tasty double entendre to feature in his latest single.
