New dinner and entertainment venues in 2026 at old Harrah’s location downtown

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – Fine Entertainment is bringing new venues here to the Biggest Little City.

This project originally started off as the ‘Reno City Center’ project, btu that went bankrupt back in 2024, and the project has since been picked up by new developer Ahlquist LLC and rebranded as ‘Revival’.

This new entertainment area will boast 5 restaurants, 3 bars and 2 nightclubs along with other restaurants and shops.

The goal: is to recreate a space downtown where friends and families feel safe and excited to experience the area.

“There’s a lot of good casinos down here and I think with the renovation and reactivation of this space is going to beautify this area farther down here and it’s going to welcome everybody in northern state of Nevada to want to come downtown again and hang out,” says Mike Genchi, the General Manager for Fine Entertainment’s Reno projects.

He says that he has heard people talk about the Harrah’s property back in the good ole days and says that he hopes this project creates something just as great, or better.

“Reno has been kind of a scary place for a lot of people to want to come. I know that when Harris was here back in the day this was the hot spot, so the downtown strip area looked a lot more welcoming and people weren’t really that afraid to come down here,” says Genchi.

The first business that is set to open is a small sports and gaming bar in the old Starbucks location at 210 N Virginia St in mid-October.

Genchi says the rest of the project will hopefully be complete by late spring 2026.

Here is a sneak peek into the venues they are bringing to town:

“We have a live band karaoke event coming in. We have a huge restaurant; sporting bar called The George that we currently have in Las Vegas coming here in the plaza. Some more live entertainment bars and spaces and a steak and grill house for families to come and relax,” says Genchi.

The Mint is one of the venues which will be a retro inspired cocktail lounge.

A retro-inspired cocktail lounge blending timeless style, inventive mixology, and live music.

“And then our staple gaming bar in Las Vegas, it’s called PKWY Tavern that will be here also. And it’s a fun gaming opportunity for adults to come in and play darts and pool and kind of relax with some live entertainment in it also,” says Genchi.

There will also be a speakeasy lounge with soulful live performances and a mysterious ambiance.

And a new honky tonk bar with country line dancing and live music.
