“Every summer has its dark side.” Grammy-nominated musician Troye Sivan and longtime collaborator Leland announced they’re creating original music for FX’s newest drama from Ryan Murphy, “The Shards.”
Sivan and Leland revealed the big news on Instagram, with the former writing, “Had so much fun writing some songs for this spooky sexy show.”

Rising pop artist and “The Shards” star Hayes Warner, who plays Debbie Schaffer, will also be lending her talent for the show’s original music.
The upcoming FX series is based on the acclaimed bestselling novel by Bret Easton Ellis (“American Psycho”). The show takes place in 1980s Los Angeles and follows high school seniors at an elite prep school. A mysterious new student, Robert Mallory (Homer Gere), joins just before the school year and his appearance resembles The Trawler, a serial killer terrorizing local teenagers.
